“Eight soft bodies” is an experimental short animation showcasing the behaviour of the system particles and complex geometry.
The behavior of the geometry is based on physical properties applied to particle systems that deform the geometry in a completely physical way simulating being bodies without bones.
Once I had the correct behaviors and deformation settings, I adapted them to new geometries with higher resolution to which I applied extra modifications without using particle calculations.
I worked on the environment (geometry, textures, lighting, etc.) where I integrated the animated geometries. After this, I created the different planes that I had previously established for the narrative of the montage.
Finally I applied a correction in post-production to get the right atmosphere and interaction between the bodies and the settings.
